Take the Q1000, for example. This flagship model offers 2K QHD recording, ensuring crystal-clear footage, day or night. It's like having a vigilant co-pilot, recording every part of your journey.
Then there's the F70, a compact model that doesn't compromise on power. With full HD recording and impact detection while parked, it's the perfect choice for those seeking a discreet yet potent dash cam.
The F200 Pro, meanwhile, is the pick for drivers wanting a bit more. With built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, it allows you to track your vehicle and share your recordings with ease.
But why invest in a dash camera? Apart from capturing footage in case of accidents, dashcams can speed up the insurance claims process by providing indisputable evidence. They protect you from fraudulent claims and unfounded liability.
For parents of teenage drivers, dashcams can be invaluable. Reviewing the footage can ensure your child's adherence to road rules and responsible driving habits. It opens up opportunities for essential conversations about safe driving and could help prevent accidents.
In the unfortunate event of car theft, dashcam footage can be a vital resource for law enforcement during their investigations. Some models even offer real-time tracking, enabling quick location of your vehicle.
In conclusion, a dashcam is a proactive measure to enhance your road safety and shield your interests. At Custom Audio, our mission is to keep you safe on the road, and Thinkware Dashcams play a key role in that. We invite you to find the model that suits your needs the best. And remember, we're here to handle the installation too.

The most recent project was replacing all factory speakers with JL Audio C2 series aftermarket speakers.
From the factory, this vehicle is equipped with a not so impressive 3.5 inch speakers on the left and side side of the dash. JL Audio C2-350x speakers drop right in. Inline capacitors were put in place so these 3.5 inch speakers don't play anything below 400hz.
The factory grille goes on without any issue, hiding the speaker perfectly. You can't even tell they were replaced! If you are considering replacing the front dash speakers within your Mopar vehicle, I highly recommend doing this as it brings the rest of the stock speakers to life! But we aren't finished with this Jeep quite yet.
Within most Jeeps, the manufacturer shoves a small 4 inch speaker with an enclosure behind the left and right side of the knee bolsters. The factory enclosure is constructed out of plastic creating a hollow sound for the speaker. Metra Electronics has a replacement housing the fit a larger 6.5 inch speaker. It is still constructed of plastic, so we added Stinger X Sound Deadener material to make this enclosure feel and sound solid.
JL Audio C2-650x coaxial speakers were then mounted into the enclosures and mounted into the vehicle. The speakers in a small enclosure with Sound Deadener sound fantastic with plenty of mid bass. Keep in mind, this is all off of stock head unit power, no additional amplifier power!
I am not sure why Mopar did this but the factory speakers within the sound bar location house a 4 inch and 3.5 inch speaker behind each left and right speaker grille. Would make more sense to do a bigger, single speakers within this location.
And that is what we did! Metra Electronics makes an adapter kit to house a standard 6.5 in speaker within this location. With some modification to the factory plastic, the adapter plate and sound deadener were applied!
The finish panel were screws into the threaded inserts and the JL Audio C2-650x speakers were mounted. We really liked the look of this combination.
Then the entire sound bar was reinstalled into the vehicle!
Even off of stock radio power, we was thoroughly impressed with how this upgrade sounded! This was a sleek installation that keeps everything looking factory.

Ensure that your vehicle is nice and toasty with a remote start from us this winter. Including a lifetime warranty on both the remote start brain and Custom Audio's labor for as long as you own the vehicle.
Did you know that we can trigger some features such as rear defrost, depending on vehicle, to come on when the vehicle is remote started? Or that most vehicles have the Stop-n-Go feature when a Compustar remote start is added? This allows the vehicle to continue to run without the key in the vehicle. This is often used for those who want to go into a convenience store for a short amount of time without turning the vehicle off.
Adding a Drone Mobile module not only allows you to start your vehicle from virtually anywhere you have service, but also allows you to do it from a smartwatch too!
Within the Drone Mobile app, Maintenance reminders can be added at certain miles traveled or date. You would receive a notification near or at the date or number set as a reminder. This works great for oil changed and/or inspections.

Here is what we installed:
A customer contacted us and asked if we could diagnose the audio system on his boat. AJ and Adam took a trip out to the customers house to take a look. The system was distorting at medium volume. We quickly found out the radio's pre-amp was not functioning properly. The customer also wanted to add Bluetooth. We sent him a quote to replace the radio and controllers and scheduled the appointment.
A Fusion radio was installed in place of the old clarion. A piece of white ABS was special ordered and cut to fill the gaps made from the old radio. A USB flush mount was added for charging and music playback. The Fusion Wireless Controllers we put in place of the old Clarion controllers.
The system was re-tuned and the customer was very happy! Looking to upgrade the audio system on your boat? Contact us today.

Here is what we installed:
The customer was extremely happy with the overall outcome and sound of the installation. And we were too!
The JL Audio JD500/1 was securely mounted under the rear floor next to the battery. The JL Audio LOC-22 was mounted next to it. We grabbed signal from both front left and front right door woofers from the factory Bose amplifier located under the rear trunk floor.
The enclosure was built in-house specifically to JL Audio 10TW1 spec/requirements. These 10s gave the right amount of punchiness and also played pretty low! Any JL Audio shallow mount woofer never fails to disappoint! The customer was really happy!

The goal with this project was to hide all components so you would not know there is anything aftermarket, besides the new radio. Both amplifiers were secured to a piece of ABS plastic panel behind the bench seats. The subwoofer was then mounted and secured next to the amplifiers. The single JL Audio 10TW3 was powered by a JL Audio JD500/1 Amplifier (pictures coming soon of the woofer!).
Installed behind the factory panels are JL Audio C2 & C1 speakers with accommodating Fast Rings and Sound Dampening. These four speakers were then powered by the JL Audio JD400/4. This single cab truck sounds fantastic!
Adam,
The system sounds great! Several people have listened to it and are very impressed by the sound. The quality and appearance of the installation are also outstanding! I know it's not a huge system and the install isn't too crazy, but I love it and would be honored if you posted pics of the truck on all of your social media. Thanks again and take care!
Respectfully,
Custom Audio Customer!

Installed was a VFL Audio 8K amplifier powering 2- Sundown Audio Z-Series 10 inch subwoofers in a ported enclosure, PRV door speakers powered by a Banda 400.4D 4 channel amplifier and a secondary yellow top Optima battery. All equipment was provided by the customer.
We first scheduled an appointment to do some testing and get an entire overview of what exactly needed to be done and provide the customer with a estimate. We found a few interesting things. After about 20 minutes of listening, the main power wire running front to back was physically hot. This was caused by the natural resistance within the CCA wire that was installed. This was also causing the secondary battery to receive poor voltage when the system was playing, dropping as low as 10 volts! Secondly, the secondary battery was not mounted to anything. It was also not protected with any fusing either. Lastly, The door speaker did not sound right. We unfortunately did not have any time to pull the door panels off to further investigate. So we set time aside in the quote to further investigate this issue.
We provided the customer with a quote and got him on the schedule. Roughly one month later, we had the vehicle in the bay. The first thing we did was pull all the equipment out of the vehicle so that we could test in on our test bench to ensure that it was in proper working order. We also removed all wiring from the vehicle.
From front to back, we upgraded the big three with Stinger Pure OFC Copper 0 ga. wire and replaced the alternator. The VFL 8K amplifier is one power hungry amplifier with 2-0 ga. power and ground inputs. With the length of wire that we needed to run and referencing our wire length to amperage chart, we needed to run 3- 0 ga. wires front to back to ensure this amplifier would get the voltage/ amperage it needed.
Next, the door speakers. The PRV speakers installed were not mounted flush to the inner door panel causing an improper seal. Luckily we had some vehicle specific aftermarket speaker adapter from Metra on hand. We were able to get the speakers mounted properly.
Stinger X Sound Dampening material was applied to the roof, rear quarter panels, trunk floor and rear hatch. This helps stop panel vibration and exterior road noise from entering the vehicle.
Onto the trunk. In front of the box, behind the rear seat, is were the secondary Optima battery and XS Power battery would live. This were firmly mounted to the floor with a custom ABS plate. Separating the main battery from second and third battery was a 500 amp Stinger Battery Isolator. This ensures that the batteries do not attempt to charge each other when the vehicle is powered off.
Before the VFL amplifier was mounted directly to the enclosure. This did not allow the massive fans on the back of the amplifier to properly cool the internal components. We are not a big fan of mounting amplifiers to enclosures but with an amplifier of this size, we did not have a choice. We spaced the amplifier our from the box using rubber spacers. This helps lessen the vibration.
Lastly, we installed an XK Glow interior and exterior lighting kit and man does it look amazing.

Noise reduction and noise dissipation is AudioQuest! One can't hear our modern world's pervasive RF noise itself, but the compromises it causes robs us of detail and contrast, and outright buries so much subtlety. Fight back with JitterBug FMJ.

The same technique was used on the passenger side for the three pairs of Stinger 9000 series RCAs. We ended up swapping the factory radio with a Pioneer DMH-WT76NEX 9 inch, floating display radio utilizing a Metra kit and harness to retain steering wheel controls and the reverse camera. We even retained the factory USB port for USB or phone music playback and charging.
Custom A-pillars were fabricated to house the JL Audio C7-100CT tweeter and the C7-350CM component driver. Acrylic templates w/ gloss black inserts were made by Car Audio Fabrications.
The pillars were wrapped and stitched in factory-matched materials. Sound Dampening and a small amount of polyfill stuffing was applied behind the panel to prevent sound resonance. Then into the car they go!
Stinger X Sound Dampening was used on both front doors. Two layers on the outer door shield, a one layer in the inner door shield (what the speaker mounts to) and a layer of Overkill foam on the door panel itself. Sound Dampening material eliminates road noise, panel vibrations, squeaks and rattles. This ensures that the listener is hearing the full potential of the speaker Without any limitations. And to top it off, Stinger Fast Rings were installed with the JL Audio C7-650CW to ensure that all sound was being forced out into the cab of of the vehicle.
In this Dan's previous vehicle, he had three JL Audio 8W3's subwoofers in a sealed enclosure. Sticking with the same woofers, we wanted to build the enclosure firing into the cab of the vehicle but keep the same angle/ tilt of the seat passthrough visible when folded down. AJ, our installer, constructed a panel that did exactly that while still being able to utilize the rear seats. We planned to line the woofers in a row, straight across.
After testing fitment, the box was removed from the vehicle then prepped, painted and wrapped in a factory matched vinyl. Then back into the vehicle.
Wrapped between the front panel and the box are two runs of XK Glow Fiber Optic lighting. These are color changing LEDs controlled by a smartphone app via Bluetooth.
After the trunk was fully sound deadened, AJ then began to fabricate the panels for the trunk. Creating a flat panel behind the box and another panel the fit into the wheel well provides us with a foundation to work off of.
With have multiple amplifiers in a small cavity, we wanted to ensure that they would receive proper ventilation. When designing the trunk floor/ amp cover, we used 3/4 inch MDF to line the outer edge as a spacer near the end of the left and right wheel well to provide airflow within the cavity below.
The JL Audio VX800/8i was mounted on a pedestal with the intention of a hole being made on the top cover. This allows the amplifier to be visible when the cover is down. The HD750/1 was planned to go beneath the VXi amplifier. The floor was then put on piano hinges making the amplifiers easily accessible and easy to show off, of course.
All panels were then removed, painted and prepped to be wrapped in vinyl. In addition to the two amplifiers under the cover panel, a Stinger Electronics SPP1200 auxiliary battery was mounted with an isolator inline. Three Stinger X linkable fused distribution block were mounted to the left of the battery. One fuse blocks was between the isolator and second battery. The other two were after the second battery to the amplifiers, fused according the manufacture specifications. XK Glow lighting was then added to illuminate the amplifier rack.
All panels were wrapped in vehicle matched vinyl to keep the factory look/ theme of the build.
Additional lighting was added underneath the rear deck to illuminate the trunk. The Factory flooring was trimmed to fit the new floor length. This allows the customer to still utilize the trunk without damaging the vinyl and VXi amplifier.
XK Glow lighting was installed on the exterior of the vehicle. LED strips were installed around the entire perimeter to ensure the most light coverage. A strip was also added behind the front grille to illuminate the honeycomb pattern on the factory Kia front grille.
The interior was outfitted with lights as well. XK Glow LED lights were added underneath the dash and front seats to illuminate as much as the floor as possible. All controlled by the same, dual-zoned Bluetooth controller that XK Glow offers.
The controller and main power switch for the lights were mounted within the center console compartment. In order to pair with said controller, it needs to be exposed. The mobile device must touch the controller on initial setup. The controller has dual zone light outputs, allowing the control of exterior and interior lights independently all from the smartphone app.
An installation like this has a lot of behind the scenes work. From extensive research to meetings with the customer, it is a team effort and could have not happened if it wasn't for the hard work of Adam, AJ, Nick and Sondralee.
Thank you for the opportunity Dan! Enjoy!
- Dan Arndt
"This is the 4th full system install that Custom Audio has put into one of my vehicles and it is hands down the absolute best looking and sounding set-up to date. Sondralee, Nick, Adam, and AJ knocked this out of the planet. The small, subtle details, of how they matched the interior of the vehicle along with all of the beauty and trim pieces is absolutely stunning. The compliments I've received at car audio competition shows to getting my oil changed are phenomenal. |
Starting from front to back, we installed our power wire with a fuse holder roughly 15 in. from the battery. On the driver side fire wall, there is a 3 in. by 3 in. grommet behind the coolant reservoir. We made our hole and passthrough easily with a drip loop inline. All wiring under the hood was protected with flex-loom. We used the Stinger Select SS1200XS Amplifier Wiring Kit to provide us with the appropriate 4 gauge power and ground wire.
From past experiences, GM vehicles advertise their "Premium Audio System" on the door speaker grill and or on the radio. This was not the case. After further investigation, this vehicle had an unmarked amplified audio system with the amplifier being in the center console. From there, we tagged rear left and right speaker wires using the military splice method. This involves removing the wire insulation, without cutting the wire, soldering our wire onto the factory wiring, wrapping the soldered connection in electrical tape and the zip-tying all connections. After, the harness was re-taped with Tesa tape to give it the OEM look. Signal and power were ran to underneath the driver seat, where the JL Audio JD500/1 and LOC-22 would live. Securely mounted on an ABS plate, the equipment would not budge. The bass knob, RBC-1, was then ran to the center console and mounted with double sided tape.
An L-shaped cover was made to protect the equipment from being kicked. The cover was finished in black carpet. With the speaker wire ran to the trunk, copper wire tinned and equipped with the appropriate color coded shrink wrap, this subwoofer was ready to be tuned. When setting the JL Audio LOC-22, it is important to follow the instructions provided to get the optimal signal for your amplifier. This ensures that the amplifier does not have to over work itself to compensate for a weak audio signal.
The customer was extremely happy with the output of this small but mighty JL Audio CP112-W0v3 BassWedge ported enclosure. More than she had expected! One of the cool features about all BassWedge enclosures is that you can mount the woofer downwards. The box has feet on either side that allows this. This also exposed the stitched JL Audio logo. With every installation, there is always something to learn. Definitely caught us off guard when we discovered that it was an unmarked amplified audio system.
